Mogu Tree Noodle House
It was new year’s eve and it was my usual day of catching up with some of my friends. Of course, it was also a long vacation for me, so, I also want to be productive by visiting some places nearby that I haven’t been to. To cap off 2016, my usual food buddies went uphill to Antipolo City to try out the new offerings of Mogu Tree Noodle House. So, just so you know, we’ve been here before, but, to tell you honestly, it was not that great when we first visited. Now, with its new offerings, we were excited to take on the challenge as our venue to update each others’ life lately.
Mogu Tree Noodle House
Mogu Tree is located in Beverly Hills Subdivision Antipolo City. Just right beside its entrance gate is a small compound and you’ll see Mogu Tree on the left side as you get inside the vicinity. The place is small but spacious and was never crowded. So, if you just want to sip a hot soup on a cold weather or you just want to relax in a cozy place outside, this is the right place for you.
As I’ve said earlier, it wasn’t our first time here. But we believe that they offer a wide variety of delicious treats. The last time we went here wasn’t great probably because they had limited selection of toppings and I chose something that I didn’t enjoy. But they have revamped and added new soup base. So, it became exciting to come back and try again.
Do It Yourself
What’s so fun about Mogu Tree Noodle House is that you can fully customize what you want in your hot pot. Starting from what noodles you want. Then selecting up to 4 toppings that you desire. Then finally, choosing the soup base to complete your hot pot. Isn’t that awesome?! 🙂
Choose your Noodles
Too many to choose from which is great, right? I have not tried them all but I always prefer flat or thin noodles. So, if am to give tips, always follow your heart. 🙂
Pick Up To 4 Toppings
I guess this is the hardest part. Is it? There’s just a lot of them and honestly, I don’t eat some of them especially mushrooms. So picking the safest ones are the best option for me. And I know, some of you are adventurous, so go ahead and pick what’s best for you. 🙂
Select Your Soup Base
Once you are done with the fun selection, you submit them to the staff for cooking. So, you have to tell them the soup base you want.
– Pork Chicken Stock – the most basic one. The one I didn’t enjoy when I first visited. Sorry 🙁
– Laksa – the spicy one and the most popular. You will enjoy this for sure. 🙂
– Tonkotsu Shoyu – the new one and the one I picked this time. So yummy, milky and bursting with flavors. 🙂
Our favorite time is eating time! Serving time is around 15 – 20 minutes. Be careful because the soup is super hot. Don’t burn your tongue okay? 🙂
Laksa – Php 198
Spicy and flavorful. It is their best seller and is perfect for those who prefer hot & spicy stuff.
Tonkotsu Shoyu – Php 210
The newest addition. Mild milky broth bursting with flavors. I like this one. A perfect combination for my dim sum side dish.
Pork Siomai – Php 78
Spareribs Taosi – Php 165
So, I was right. We have to give it a second chance because I am sure they offer delicious stuff. And it was satisfying. I love the new flavor. Tonkotsu Shoyu is just a balance of milky and flavorful soup. The Laksa still didn’t disappoint and my friends are still happy as they take a sip. To top it off, it was affordable at less than 500 pesos. You’ll definitely enjoy your stay.
