Best Nine of 2016
A lot of things happened in 2016. And most people say that this has been the worst so far. They might be pertaining to the political side and whatnot. Some are relating to general issues around the globe. But, of course, we all have our own experiences in life and it’s all about how we deal with them in the end. So, I totally agree that there are things and events that made me upset. I can’t say I’m depressed, but I am sure I’m stressed. But to make things better, you should face reality and move forward. At the end of the day, I’m still thankful for the best things that happened in my life. And here is my best nine to share with you. 🙂
#1 Bolinao, Pangasinan
This is my very first blog post! Just so you know, it is my dream to have my very own blog. But I’ve been afraid all this time because of rejection and failure. This made me become so hesitant to do a step forward in making one for myself. But, because of my supportive friends and my very own desire, finally, I’ve made it. And it feels really amazing that at last, I’ve broken out of my shell. It is an achievement to brave out the cyberspace. Indeed, Bolinao is such a beautiful place if you want to experience serene vacation. My first entry for my Best Nine
#2 Majayjay, Laguna
Majayjay, Laguna is famous for its waterfalls. It’s not my first time visiting a waterfall because I’ve been to Daranak Falls when I was a kid. But I am not counting it as a travel experience because, well, what do you do when you are just a kid, right?! So, probably, this is my first time doing it for my travel blogging experience. The most challenging part here is the hour of trekking because it is surely tiring. But hey, once you get there, you will feel relieved. It was actually my first time seeing a beautiful sanctuary like the Bukal Falls.
#3 Mount Samat, Shrine of Valor
It’s not like I hate history. But, I’m not really good at this topic, really. But one thing I’m thankful for is the chance to visit Mount Samat. It’s really important that you know at least a few of your history. As a first time experience, a lot of things have played inside my mind. But the bottom line is, we’ve fought too much. We’ve been a victim all this time. Up until now, we’ve been fighting for true democracy. A freedom to live with peace and harmony. To be happy together with the people we love. But I guess, it’s going to be an endless battle because greed will never be purged. Visiting this place made me realize that as a person, I must contribute at least to the society for its well-being.
#4 Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar
Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is my one true love. I never thought I’d fall in love with this so quickly. With architecture and design evolving quickly, we have a lot of modern designs in terms of structure and interior design. History just proves that things are awesome as they are no matter what era you are looking at, as long as their beauty is preserved. And this heritage park with astonishing mansions is a living testament. When I stepped on its grounds, I definitely dreamed of owning one or make it a small community and make myself one of the rich people. In my dreams! LOL! 🙂 . Definitely a part of my Best Nine.
#5 Bakasyunan Resort
Bakasyunan Resort is a popular vacation spot in Tanay, Rizal. You will totally agree once you get here because of its things to offer. It is popular for team building activities, conference, and plain staycation. You will never get bored because they have tons of activities that you can try. Finally, it is a sweet spot for some overlooking experience. You will see the Pililia Windmills and Laguna de Bay. What a nice view, right? We’ve been targeting to visit this ever since, and finally, we got it!
#6 Pinto Art Museum
The art haven, Pinto Art Museum is a popular destination in the heart of Rizal province, Antipolo City. As a kid, I’ve been to museums but they didn’t leave a long lasting impression to me. Probably because I am not a fan of paintings, sculpture, and the likes. But, this place made me appreciate this stuff. Not because I can now relate and connect to the artist thru paintings, but because art is a wonderful thing. Art gives beauty to everything that we don’t usually even realize. If you are an art lover, this place is absolutely perfect for you. It is also perfect for some prenup shots.
#7 Azure Paris Beach Club
Probably not the best experience for me, but it made me realize something. Hotel staycation must be a relaxing and fun activity. I am not saying that they have a bad service and amenities. It’s more of it being crowded and not a place to feel exclusive. The place is actually great because of its state of the art facilities and the nice man-made beach which is the highlight. A lot of people seem to enjoy here. But for those who want to relax and feel exclusive and private like me, I do not recommend this. I am really thankful for the experience that it gave me ideas for my next staycation.
#8 Christmas Houses
Christmas houses in Filinvest are so wonderful and truly give you the Christmas feels. It was not my first time seeing something like this, but, seeing one will always give me a warm and joyful feeling especially that it is accessible and free. Christmas is for everyone and a time to be happy. I am thankful for the families who do this for free just to share the Christmas spirit to those who just want to have fun.
#9 Masungi Georeserve
Masungi Georeserve will be a once in a lifetime experience for me. Ever since I heard of this, I’ve been so excited to visit this place to experience its popular giant hammock and spider web. Its ultimate goal is to preserve its beauty and resources because it gives life to its residents and wildlife. I’m glad to be able to at least contribute to its preservation and rehabilitation. And the place is truly magnificent you’ll never regret that you’ve tried to conquer its trail. This caps off my Best Nine.
2016 Wrap Up
A lot of things happened and while others do not appreciate things is 2016, then it’s okay. Who am I to judge? The important thing is you were able to stand up and move forward and better yourself in each day. Thank you 2016 for letting me experience all these. And thank you for making me a ramen addict. LOL 🙂 This year was the first time trying a ramen, and I never regret doing so. Ramen is just the best!
